DENTRON fm
acupuncture point detector and stimulator

The DENTRON FM is a revolutionary kind
of acupuncture point detector and four-channel stimulator
which puts a powerful new tool in the hands of the practitioner:
FREQUENCY MODULATION.
The ergonomic handpiece can be used
both as a detector and a stimulator probe, making the
equipment equally suitable for the auricular and the
whole-body acupuncturist.
Its dual-power settings mean that
the DENTRON FM is equally at home as a TENS stimulator.
Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation is an established
method of relieving pain in a wide variety of conditions,
including arthritic joints, strained backs, colitis
and phantom limb pain.
Frequency Modulation simply means
varying one frequency with another, and it
• INTRODUCES A NEW DIMENSION
into electro-acupuncture
• COMBINES THE BENEFITS of both low- and high-frequency
stimulation
• EMBRACES ALL BENEFICIAL FREQUENCIES without
the need for individual tuning
• INCREASES PATIENT COMFORT by sweeping smoothly
and continuously between frequencies instead of switching
SIMPLE OR COMPLEX? THE CHOICE
IS YOURS
Of course the DENTRON FM also has all the facilities
of an ordinary stimulator, with a basic output frequency
variable between 70 and 133 pulses per second, and the
capability of switching this on and off or alternating
between high- and low-frequency stimulation up to ten
times a second on all four completely independent channels.
But FREQUENCY MODULATION opens up fresh horizons in
the exploration of applying 21st-century Western science
to the ancient practice of acupuncture.
MAKING WAVES
The waveform produced by the DENTRON FM is an asymmetric,
biphasic, modified square wave, currently regarded as
the most effective form of electro-stimulation –
for all forms of acupuncture and for TENS as well. And
unlike other stimulators, the DENTRON FM produces this
waveform continuously to ensure optimum power transfer
to the patient.
RANGING FAR AND WIDE
The DENTRON FM incorporates an exceptionally wide-range
acupuncture point detector, avoiding the need for conductive
gels or for pre-stimulation to “open up the channels”.
And the range of stimulation modes
is equally varied:
1. NORMAL MODE generates a continuous
signal variable in frequency between 70 and 133 Hz.
2. BURST MODE allows the base frequency to be switched
on and off in short bursts at a rate variable between
1 and 10 Hz.
3. FM / ALTERNATE MODE switches the output alternately
between two different frequencies, at an adjustable
rate.
4. FM / SWEEP MODE continuously sweeps up and down between
variable limits, also at an adjustable rate.
Its intuitive method of audio monitoring
makes the DENTRON FM simplicity itself to use. And the
internal rechargeable power source means the equipment
is equally at home in the surgery or in domiciliary
practice.
