1st
Annual Conference held on 12th November 2004 at Regent’s
College Conference Centre
A
note from Pauline Ronson, Secretary, S.A.Ac.
This
was the Society’s first Annual Conference held in London.
A lot of hard work and effort went into the organising of it
but from the comments we received on the feedback forms, it
turned out to be a worthwhile and interesting event. I would
like to take this opportunity of thanking all speakers from
other organisations who took the time and trouble to give us
excellent and informative talks – Mike O’Farrell,
Chief Executive, British Acupuncture Council; Terry Cullen,
Chair, British Complementary Medicine Association; Martin McLean,
Regional Prison Drug Services Manager for Avon & Wiltshire
Trust; John Bransfield, Manager, DAIS, Hounslow. Our thanks
also go to Oxford Medical Supplies who sponsored the event.
The Regent’s College Conference Centre proved to be an
excellent venue.
Some
of the people who attended wrote on their feedback forms:
‘Very
informative 1st Conference, Lunch super!. Will come again. Enjoyed
how the lectures were presented – very friendly and interesting’.
‘Enjoyed
the day. Very informative – look forward to the next one’.
Very
interesting, really useful information. Also it’s good
to feel that you are part of an organisation that is proactive
with its members. Also food fab’.
‘It
was very nice to see our colleagues again and meet new practitioners
with different backgrounds and experience. The food was excellent.
Very informative talks by excellent choice of speakers. Thank
you. The sense of belonging to S.A.Ac. is more solid and the
next phase appears more exciting’
